Substance Institute ~ Beliefs – The Persons, The Purpose & The Plan
1. We believe that there are three dimensions of one God: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit (I John 5:7, Matthew 28:19). In the one God who is eternal in His existence, and as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and that He is sovereign and absolute in His authority (I Tim 3:16). In the Father who is God Himself, Creator of the universe (Genesis 1, I John 1:1). In Jesus is the Son of God (Colossians 2:9, Luke 3:21-23). He suffered, died, was buried, and rose from the dead for our total salvation (Philippians 2:5-11). Who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life? No one comes to the Father except through Him (John 3:36, John 14-6). Jesus Christ will literally return to earth.
2. We believe in the Holy Spirit who is God indwelling, empowering, and regenerating the Believer. This Holy Spirit is called the Comforter. He is also the Spirit of Truth (John 14:16-17, 26). The blood of Jesus Christ atones for our sins and iniquity. It is through His shed blood that we are saved, healed, and set free from the bondage and the forces of darkness (Romans 5:9-11, Ephesians 1:7, Revelation 12:11). The Bible is the true infallible Word of God, which cleanses our souls. It holds the words of eternal life and the keys to the Kingdom of God. The Bible shows us God’s principles and standards for living, and it is the food that sustains us in all circumstances (John 1:14, II Timothy 3:16-17, I John 2:5-6).
3. We believe that man is a creation of God, made in His image, but that through the sin of the first man, Adam, mankind fell so that all men are sinners and need salvation. In justification by faith that salvation is free and apart from any work of man, and is a result of the sovereign grace of God (Ephesians 2: 8-9, Romans 5:1). Every person who is truly saved is eternally secure in the Lord Jesus Christ. In worshiping the Lord in spirit, song, and dance, and with the raising of our hands, we praise and worship Him with our whole being (Psalms 150:1-6, John 4:24).
4. We believe that, as Believers, we should be water baptized (by immersion). It is through baptism that we publicly identify with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ (Romans 6:3-6, Colossians 2:11-14, Acts 2:38). Those persons who died in their sins without Christ spend eternity in hell, and those persons who died with sins forgiven through Christ spend eternity in heaven. The Church is a local body of believers with the Lord Jesus Christ as the head. Each believer has direct access to God in prayer through the Lord Jesus Christ.
5. We believe in the separation of Church and state, but not in the separation of God and government. Christians are to be the salt and light in society.

- We have an open heaven by the blood of Jesus. The Holy Spirit rests upon us and remains. We are keenly sensitive to the Lord and His voice. We ALL hear God’s voice behind us, saying “This is the way; walk in it,” and we never turn to the right or to the left. We hear God’s voice clearly, and we follow Him. All of our prayers are heard and answered, and everything we need is provided in abundance.
- We at Substance Institute have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear, but we have received the Spirit of adoption, by Whom we cry out “Abba! Father!” We operate in power, love, and a sound mind, and we are all filled with God’s perfect love. We dwell in unity as brothers and sisters in Christ, and God’s anointing covers us.
- Every time we gather at Substance Institute, we host the Presence of God. The glory of God rests upon us corporately and individually, and God is enthroned upon our praises. We have a heart to worship even more than David had. We always encounter God deeply in our worship.
- The atmosphere of Heaven saturates Substance Institute. We are overshadowed by the Holy Spirit, and like Peter, even our shadows release the power of God everywhere we go.
- We at Substance Institute are lovers of the Word. We study to show ourselves approved unto God, workmen that need not be ashamed. We eat God’s Word for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We do not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. We hide God’s Word in our hearts, and God’s Word keeps us from sin.
- We at Substance Institute speak as the oracles of God. We preach the Gospel boldly and with power. The Word of God thunders from our pulpits, our media outreach, and from every way that our members and we communicate. God works with us as we preach, confirming His Word with signs, wonders, and miracles.
- We at the Substance Institute are a house of prayer for all nations. We have the spirit of grace and supplication. Our prayers rise like incense before God night and day. We govern in prayer and enforce God’s will on the earth through intercession. We pray effectually and fervently. We boldly come before the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Our prayers are heard in Heaven and quickly answered on earth.
- We at the Substance Institute have a supernatural grace for fasting. When we fast, we keep God in the forefront of our hearts and minds. We set our hearts to seek God in secret, and He rewards us in the open.

Our God rebukes the devourer for our sakes and brings us our complete harvest. Because we seek God’s Kingdom and righteousness first, everything we need is added to us. Everything put our hand to prosper. Our God supplies all our needs according to His RICHES in glory in Christ Jesus.
- All Substance Institutes are plugged in and operating in covenant with the Body of Christ. Every member is equipped and serving within his or her gifts.
- We at Substance Institute have a heart for the hurting and broken. We have abundant resources for local and foreign missions. We go into all the world and preach the Gospel. We make disciples for Jesus Christ everywhere we go, starting with the world between our own two feet. We point the way to the Father’s table in everything we say and do.
- We at Substance Institute see with the eyes of God, hear with the ears of God, and love with the heart of God. And because it’s the goodness of God that brings men to repentance, we demonstrate God’s goodness everywhere we go.
